What Am I?: Organically grown and harvested from deep in the Peruvian Rainforest, I am the raw ingredient all chocolate is made from and am known locally as ‘the Food of the Gods’.
Why Am I the Best?: Criollo beans are widely considered to be the best quality out of the three cacao varieties; Criollo, Forastero and Trinitario. The complex taste of caramels, nuts and vanilla along with the distinct reddish colour, let you easily decipher whether you are consuming true Criollo cacao or have been cheated by purchasing the cheaper varieties, marketed as Criollo.
